SCHS Attendance Officer Message
-
Attendance matters - every day, all day, for every student! At Sussex Central High School, we are committed to helping our students with overcoming barriers, which may decrease their school attendance. Together, with the high school administrators and attendance team, the school’s Attendance Officer works carefully with students and their parents regarding problems or concerns related to student attendance and welfare.
I am here to EMPOWER Tomorrow’s Leaders – Today!- S. Pierce
SCMS Attendance Officer Message
-
"Sussex Central Middle School’s Attendance Team is designated to assist students and families, interpret attendance policies, and work diligently together to develop prevention and intervention strategies. As the Attendance Officer, I monitor the students’ attendance daily. I am tasked with investigating cases of chronic and truant absences. When a child misses school purposely, they lose the opportunity to learn."
- P. Motton
SCES Attendance Officer Message
-
"Help your child develop good habits towards school by attending regularly. What this means for parents, students, and other stakeholders is that we are all accountable and keep the lines of communication open. When students attend school regularly it helps with anxiety, self-esteem, social skills, and more importantly, it promotes individual student achievement. If a child has chronic absenteeism it impacts learning and an opportunity to build relationships with their peers. However, it is my hope along with the faculty and staff of Sussex Central Elementary School that we stand firm on being committed to helping the students and their parents with their needs concerning attendance.
Remember… 80% of Success is showing up and showing out."
